Hair Style: The Donut Bun

I have discovered the 'donut' bun. At first i thought it might be a bit neat for me, as i love just shoving my hair up into a messy bun, but then i realised that sometimes its nicer to have neater hair.
Its really quick and easy to do and looks sophisticated yet slightly casual at the same time.
I definitely recommend giving it a go!

Swanky Ankles

So winter is pretty much here and recently i have been revamping my wardrobe so that  have less trend following clothes but more staple pieces.
I really want to get a pair of nice black ankle boots (real leather of course) so that they will last me a long time and never go out of fashion. I've started my search at Topshop and have picked these three shown above as my possible favourites.
What do you think?
I love the simplicity of them all and they are perfect as i know they will go with pretty much anything i wear.

Kyla La Grange

I am a big big fan of Lana Del Rey and found Kyla La Grange as a link from one of her videos. I read one of the comments and it said thats she was a cooler version of Del Rey do i decided to listen to some more of her songs.

She is a very similar artist and i really the tone of her voice. She is also very creative in her styling and videos, which is also one of the things that appeal to me about this artist. I like the vintage element but he way she mixes it with the more modern and contemporary style with minimalist colours.

One to watch out for!

Smart Sailor

Cardigan: Vintage
Shirt: Topshop
Leggings: Dorothy Perkins

I love it when my mum randomly buys me stuff. I walked into my room last night and found this amazing nautical vintage cardigan on my bed and put it on straight away. Today i dressed it smart/casual but could easily be work as either smart or casual on their own.

Blue Jeans

Hat: Urban Outfitters
Tee: American Apparel
Jeans: Vintage
Clog Heels: Topshop

One of my favourite things to do is browse charity shops for amazing bargains and today i managed to find these vintage very high-waisted jeans originally by Anna Brooks. I normally dont like vintage jeans as the cut and fit isnt right for me on most pairs, but when i put these one i instantly loved them. I was so happy to have finally found a vintage pair that fit me beautifully!
Also i apologize for the bad quality of the photos as its not daylight in my room any more and i have no photo editing software at present :( must sort that out asap!

A Bit About Me: Week 1

Hat: Urban Outfitters
Jacket: Criminal Damage
Denim Gillet: Lemonade

Each week i will now be doing a post every wednesday about myself. I am opening up to questions from you guys and feel free to e-mail me any you have about my inspiration, style, business etc.
This week as its the first one i will be answering some 'Style Secrets' questions featured in an interview with Daisy Lowe in the Company High-Street Edit magazine from A/W 2011 (but with my answers!). Hope you like it and keep your questions coming in! Dont forget to put 'A bit about me' in the subject of the e-mail and leave your blog url under the question so i can mention you in the post :)

Style Secrets

1. Buying shoes is hard as i always see too many pairs i like.

2. The only thing i will never wear is teacher-like small square heels.

3. I have at least 20 jumpers!

4. I'd hate it if people knew that i own big pants.

5. But i love them because they are so comfy!

6. When i was little my mum made me wear frilly dresses.

7. I own around 6 pairs of black heels.

8. My favourite is a velvet plain black pair from Miss Selfridge.

9. I always end up wearing black.

10. If i was an item of clothing i would be a long black dress that was simple to look at but complex in design and very comfy to wear. Smart or casual.

11. This spring/summer i'll mainly be wearing pastel colours, floaty shirts and simple outfits.

12. Every wardrobe should have black leggings, a comfy jumper, a smart shirt and at least three different pairs of jeans.

13. My best friends are the people that make me feel comfortable.

14. Because i like change but i also like to be well grounded to some things.

15. I love finding a beautiful timeless piece at a boot fair or in a charity shop that i know i will barely take off!
