Zara: Studs And Leather

shirt: TFNC
jeans: Unknown
earring: New Look
bag & shoes: Zara

Black is my favourite colour so i couldnt resist the soft touch and twinkling studs of these amazing loafers as i spotted them on a shelf, walking out of what i thought had been an unsuccessful visit to Zara. As soon as they were on my feet i knew i had to have them. At £60 they weren't cheap, but they were definitely worth it. Leather shoes last a life time and even though studs could possibly go out of fashion, the style of shoe will not.
The bag, also from Zara is not Leather, but has lasted me well so far! It's just the right size to fit the essentials in and anything else i need for uni can be placed in a white 'Toast' canvas tote bag i throw on my shoulder.
The mint jeans were a present from my mum. I love the subtle hint of green, they are not too bright but visibly have a colour to them.

Hair Style: The Donut Bun

I have discovered the 'donut' bun. At first i thought it might be a bit neat for me, as i love just shoving my hair up into a messy bun, but then i realised that sometimes its nicer to have neater hair.
Its really quick and easy to do and looks sophisticated yet slightly casual at the same time.
I definitely recommend giving it a go!

Swanky Ankles

So winter is pretty much here and recently i have been revamping my wardrobe so that  have less trend following clothes but more staple pieces.
I really want to get a pair of nice black ankle boots (real leather of course) so that they will last me a long time and never go out of fashion. I've started my search at Topshop and have picked these three shown above as my possible favourites.
What do you think?
I love the simplicity of them all and they are perfect as i know they will go with pretty much anything i wear.

Singe Light Source

I did my first shoot for my new uni course today (Fashion With Photography)
These are my three favourite images from the brief that we had to use a single light source. I like the mystery in the photos. I also like the natural beauty and simplicity of the photos.
I just cant choose which one i like best!!

Monochrome Magic

jeans: urban outfitters
lamp: B&Q
shoes: ebay
watch: DKNY
earring: DIY

I managed to find these amazing black and white jeans in the Urban Outfitters sale for an incredible £5! they are plain white with black dip-dye/spray paint effect down each side seam. I am moving into a shared house for university soon so my mum has been treating me to new little bits and pieces, this lamp of which i couldn't wait to open. I love extremely high, elegant heels so could not turn down this 6" pair of wedges when i found them on ebay. Loving the new issue of Vogue although i dont agree she was the best choice of cover girls... My new DKNY watch i received as a birthday present that i barely take off and my earring i made myself with things i got from a DIY jewelry store i found in paris.

Paris

So for my 18th birthday (31st July) my mum took me on an overnight trip to the beautiful city of Paris! We travelled via Eurostar and stayed in a hotel in Bastille. Our hotel was beautiful with lights and patterns everywhere. We stayed in the 'Crystal Suite' which was brilliant luck seeing as white is my favorite colour!!
After we arrived we went up the Eiffel Tower when it was just getting dark. We saw the sunset whilst stood on the second level of the tower which was amazing! We then sat and ate in a restaurant on a boat on the river just below the Tower and watched it as it twinkled. after dinner we travelled to our hotel via a Tuktuk (small car with open roof) and stopped to see Notre Dame on the way while out driver took photos of us!
The next day we visited many vintage clothing shops and had breakfast and lunch in small Parisian cafe's. We walked and walked and came to a beautiful cafe called Angelina's where we ate lovely food and beautifully crafted desserts. Before boarding the train back home we had just enough time to go to Galeries Lafeyette and stare at all the wonderful designer clothes.
I had such an amazing time and i wish i could live in Paris.
Maybe one day.
